Lately IBM has joined the iPhone revelution. It has introduced a new application called iNotes ultralite. This free web application lets workers see their Lotus Notes e-mail, calendar, and list of contacts using Safari, Apple's browser used on iPhone. This service does come with a catch. iPhone users have to be subscribers to Lotus Notes. You can also use theirLotus Mobile Connect virtual private network software with the iNotes to make it easier to sign in onto the network. The author of this article does say that there might be less iPhone users that use Lotus than other devices. RIM Blackberry, Nokia Symbian devices, and Palm Treos to name the main users of Lotus. All in all the Lotus sounds like a very useful application that corporate employees will surely enjoy and help them with their jobs.
