Moores' Law is a prediction of Intels' success that has been proven for more than 40 yrs. His law says that: The amount of transistors on a chip doubles every two years. Gordon Moore made the prediction in 1965. Since then, Intel has been able to create the first microprocessor with a 2-billion tarnsistor count. Gordon Moore was given the 2008 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Medal of Honor for his prediction and other accomplishments.
