Mainframes-These are computers used by companies to process bulk data and run important applications.These used to be huge metal boxes that took up alot of room.Now they are basicaly any computer that canuse the IBM System/360.MAinframes usually run for years without any interuption and make any repairs while working on their task.
PC-PC stands for Personal Computer.These computers are mostly used at home and in some buisinesses although they do not continualy run without any interuptions.The early PCs were very large and also took up alot of room.PCs can also run on different systems than the mainframe.The PC cannot make it's own repairs and constantly needs to be told what to do using certain commands.The mainframe does not.
