Flatscreens and the Environment

It has been found that flat-screen tvs emit a highly powerful greenhouse gas in large amounts. Thet greenhouse gas is NF3 or Nitrogen triflouride. This gas is said to be 17,000 times as bad as carbon dioxide at the same level. This gas is often used to clean equipment and etching microcircuits in theelectronics industry. This happened when it replaced PFCs that were under Kyoto protocol. A study show that there is 5400 tonnes in the atmosphere.
